Prostate Cancer: (prostate brachytherapy and IMRT) Certified by Chicago Prostate Center. Have given lectures and published articles on these topics.

Lung Cancer: Presented original research on specific type of lung cancer (Superior Sulcus Tumor), President Lung Cancer Advisory Board Chicagoland Chapter of American Lung Association.

Other interests include Breast-including partial breast irradation with mammosite, Lymphoma, and Rectal cnacer.

Dr. Stutz is the co-medical director of Radiation Oncology at Good Samaritan Cancer Center. He is board-certified in Radiation Oncology. After completing his training at Northwestern University, and the Medical College of Wisconsin, he joined Radiation Oncology Consultants, Ltd., where he has been in private practice for 9 years. Dr. Stutz is on staff at Chicago Cancer Prostate Center and has proctored new prostate brachytherapy programs in Indiana, Wisconsin, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Dr. Stutz has expertise in prostate cancer, treating patients with external beam conformal, as well as intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and permanent brachytherapy (seed implants). He has authored numerous papers and publications on the subject, and has taught courses and given lectures to other physicians. He is also experienced in breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, lymphoma, and rectal cancer.

Dr. Stutz has given lectures to the nursing staff on radiation oncology topics and is a member of the Good Samaritan Cancer Committee. He spends his leisure time raising three young children, as well as playing soccer and tennis.

When asked why he chose Radiation Oncology, he states, "I have found radiation oncology very fulfilling and truly believe that my skills, interests, and personality are well matched for this field. I enjoy the relationships that are made which result from really listening to patients and spending time answering questions and explaining risks, options, and benefits of their cancer treatments."
